The company Pieperconcept was established by Adolf Pieper and his wife Elli Pieper in 1924. At the beginning Pieper exclusively produced coat-hangers that were made of wood together with three other employees in a small workshop in Hameln’s old town. Until 1939 Pieper accomplished to extend his company thus far that it was necessary to move into a bigger production facility. The new factory that was chosen those days was located in the “Ohsener Street” and is still Pieperconcept’s principal office. After having endured the 2nd World War Pieperconcept restarted its production in 1946 and rose its number of employees to 20 persons. In 1954 Günther Pieper, son of Adolf Pieper, finally joined the company and supported his parents in extending Pieperconcept’s versatility. At the end of the 60ies the company started to produce cheap plastic coat hangers. In 1984 Pieperconcept additionally extended its product range with the production of high-quality articles for instore and showcase decorations. In Cologne at the IMM 1991 Pieperconcept presented its new innovative programme of design oriented interior decorations for the first time in history.
In 2001 Pieperconcept took over its earlier competitor Union. The brand name Union is still used today and stands for high-quality wardrobe hangers, suit stands and trouser presses.
Pieperconcept has developed to an internationally operating company that is characterised by versatility, innovation and demand for high quality standards.
The product Lobby enjoys great popularity. It can be used as magazine rack and as side table und is characterised by simplicity and elegance.
The special bookshelf Outline distinguishes itself through its unusual shape. Outline’s structure consists of powder-coated steel; the back consists of a medium density fibreboard that is available either with a black or a white lacquering.
Outline is appropriate for the living quarters as well as for waiting areas or modern open plan offices – a MUST for every book lover.
The functional wardrobe Flex combines functionality and elegancy. It wins the heart of every design lover with being space saving and creative.
