The female Mrs EVA SOLO does not exist. Two Danish designers stand behind this name: Claus Jensen and Henrik Holbaek.
They took over the Mangor companys 60 year old trademark about seven years ago and made it into EVA SOLO.
The first name EVA goes back to the Danish producer of kitchen products, Erik Mangors daughter.
Thus, the name can also be found in the predecessor collection of pots and pans, glasses and cutlery which found such successful representation on the Scandinavian market, that they now belong to the classics of kitchen articles (collections EVA and EVA TRIO from 1950 and 1977).
For about 5 years now, the name Eva can also be found in the company name- EVA DENMARK.
Meanwhile, Eva Mangor, born in 1939 is the mother of EVA-DENMARKs manager, Jan Engelbrecht.
Today, the company which sits in Copenhagen exports to 35 different countries.
Within the 38-head EVA DENMARK-team, the two industry designers Holbaek and Jensen create articles of use for the kitchen area and other accessories for the living area.
Their objects are functional, interesting in their design and convincing through their high-quality.
The simplicity of their design and their handling are especially attractive to younger clients.
The Danes are renowned for such creativity in small areas, as large industrial branches have never existed in Scandinavia, and the Danish, also due to their climate, tend to have a more stay-at-home attitude and so logically occupy themselves with the improvement of every-day things. Thus, the created objects are of striking individuality and carry a more personal note- this is how Claus Jensen and Henrik Holbaek explain the success of the Danish or Scandinavian products.
In Danish tradition, kitchen utensils are made of indigenous raw materials, which must primarily be dishwasher safe.
Thus, the first dishwasher safe oven mitt made of silicone was invented, the drip-free decanter, lemon juicer, ice cube cooler, plant vases with water reservoirs, but also stainless steel barbecues(available at Proformshop in various models).
